COMMUNITY AID NETWORK-UGANDA
Community Aid Network-Uganda (CAN-U) was formed to administer funds and projects in that country. It is a registered Non-Government Organization (NGO).   Don is a member of the Board of Founders and attended the organizational meetings in May,2006. Uganda NGO registration number: S.5914/6730.

Jacob worked for us and lived in our compound while finishing Senior Six.  Later we financed his University law education.  He now is a government attorney in Uganda.  We consider him to be our African son and he has visited us here in Wisconsin. He is married to Naomi and they have a two year old daughter.

Because of our five years experience of living and working in Uganda as missionaries, we know the people, culture, and needs.  The Board members are people we know and trust.  The money we send will get to the intended receivers and will not be siphoned off by corruption like so many aid funds. A screening process to assure that the most needy children are selected for assistance is in place. Project proposals are carefully evaluated before acceptance and are closely monitored. In addition, Ruth and I will make periodic trips to assist in this process.
